Inter-Institutional Science Fair on the theme ‘Science for Human Welfare’ held at Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala

Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala today organized Inter-Institutional Science Fair-2021 on the theme of ‘Science for Human Welfare’under the guidance of college Principal Dr. Khushvinder Kumar. This science fair was designed as a platform for the students to display changing paradigms of scientific understanding about recent trends in Science and Technology, Environmental issues, Artificial Intelligence and Computers, Human health and Scientific Innovations, COVID Pandemic and the New normal, Correlation of Mathematics with Science and chemistry in everyday life . About 110 students from various educational institutions including colleges and schools participated with their Poster Presentations, Projects and Models (working and static).
Vice principle of the college Prof. Shailendra Sidhu welcomed the chief guest and the students from various institutes and said that the progress in science and technology needs to be integral in promoting human welfare. She appreciated the displayed models and projects.
In the valedictory function Chief Guest Prof. Surendra Lal congratulated the winners and said that the progress of any society is directly proportional to progress of science and technology.
Dr.Ashwani Sharma, Dean Life Sciences and Co-ordinator of the Science Fair discussed the themes and subthemes of the fair with the students. Organising Secretary of this fair,Dr. Rajeev Sharma motivated the students to develop scientific temperament and logical thinking by participating in such events.
Dr.Jatinder Singh Aulakh, Dr.Karamjit Singh, Dr.Loveleen kaur (for College Category) Dr.Yadwinder Singh, Dr.Manpreet Kaur, Dr.Nidhi Bansal, Dr.Inderpreet Singh Grover, Dr.Monika Bansal (School Category) judged the the participants for the positions.
The winners were awarded with mementoes and certificates. All the participants were given participation certificates. The results of various categories of winners are:

Static Model Category – First position won by Geetika Dang and Jasmeet Kaur, Goverment Mohindra college, Patiala and second position bagged by Arzoo and Khushwinder, Khalsa College, Patiala and by Jasleen Kaur and Shubharmanpreet Singh, Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala collectively
Working Model Category- First position won by Divya and Dinky, AS College , Khanna, Second position bagged by Shivani and Harvinder Kaur, State College of Education and Rashika Garg and Ishita from Khalsa College, Patiala collectively.

Static Model Category – First position won by Harshit Jain and Abhinandan Goyal, Our Lady of Fatima Senior Secondary Convent School , Patiala and second position bagged by Vaishali Shukla and V.S. Parmeshwaran, St.Peter’s Academy, Patiala.
